My Story

Hi there! My name is Arleth (pronounced Ar-let) Walker. I have been a Cave Creek resident since I was four and a half years old, after moving to Arizona from Hermosillo, Son, MX. While growing up in Cave Creek, I attend Black Mountain Elementary, Desert Arroyo Middle and graduated from Cactus Shadows High School in 2011 (go Falcons!). After graduating, I proceeded to attend Paradise Valley Community College and graduated with three associate degrees in 2018. During this time, I met my wonderful husband Daniel at Harold's, whom also graduated from CSHS and grew up in Cave Creek. We eloped in 2017, in... you guesses it, Cave Creek! During the Covid Pandemic, I decided it was time to go back to school, and attended NAU and graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice. I worked in the legal and medical field before staying at home with our two kiddos.

We currently reside in Cave Creek, with our two beautiful children. Little Daniel, who was born in 2021, and our little princess Sabine, whom was born in 2022. Before we had children, neither of us had any idea what ISR was. When Daniel was born, we had signed up at a swim school, with the thought that he would learn how to self rescue. I had even called the school before enlisting to ensure that they actually do teach that. However, six months in, and we were left unsatisfied with the skills he had learned. Yes he learned how to kick and blow bubbles, but we KNEW he was not safe in the water if the worst were to happen. After speaking with a mutual friend, she had talked to me about ISR and showed me videos of her kiddos. I was completely blown away, and frustrated with the fact that I was informed my child would learn such a crucial skill, but was incredibly mislead. Since then, both of our kids have gone through ISR and LOVE the water!

Watching our children learn these skills and enjoy the water, and living in Arizona where there are so many drownings each summer, I had the urge to try and help prevent as many drownings as possible. I LOVE watching kiddos learn how to be safe, and enjoy playing in the water with their new found confidence.
